On Jan. 25, 2009 I delivered a sermon at Whaleysville U.M. Church. There was a special need that morning and God gave me this prayer: "We thank Thee of God for the privilege of worship among a free people in a free country. Oh God, help us to a place of greater faith in the hours of our greatest need. We realize that we have often stopped short of the mark in so many areas of our lives. When we are hesitant, we ask for boldness to go forward. When we stumble and fall, we ask for the strength to get up. When we have tried and failed we ask you for the wisdom and strength to begin anew. If we ever arrive at a place in our lives where events seem to come between us and our fellow Christians, help us to have the strength to overcome these barriers. Let us not stop short in asking, and granting, forgiveness. Help us to find the courage and strength to live from day to day with unconditional love for you, and our brothers and sisters in Christ. We know oh Lord that some of our mightiest struggles are fought in the silent crucibles of our inner lives. Give us, oh God, the strength to endure these lonely battles within ourselves. We ask these things in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. AMEN
This site is a "bookmark" favorite of mine. A great comfort to visit the "Welcome Page" and the message it conveys, and to also view the "Coming Attractions". St. Paul's has so much to give to our community. It's members truly deliver the word of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Thank you for providing this web site. Blessings to all.
